Copello Crop Insurance Agency, Inc. helps growers protect what they've planted — coverage built around your operation, from Multi-Peril Crop Insurance to Crop-Hail, drawing on hands-on farming experience and personal, direct service throughout California and the Western United States.
Based in Linden, California, in the heart of San Joaquin County, Copello Crop Insurance Agency, Inc. works directly with growers to put together coverage that fits their crops, their acreage, and their risk — not a one-size-fits-all policy.
Owner Max Copello works with growers throughout the Central Valley on the walnuts, cherries, grapes, and row crops that define this region, walking through options in plain language and handling the paperwork that comes with sales closing dates, acreage reporting, and claims.
Long before he was an agent, Max was a farmer — growing cherries, walnuts, almonds, and wine grapes and carrying crop insurance himself. That experience on the other side of the policy shaped what he brings to this work: he learned firsthand what growers actually want and need from their coverage, and now he gets to provide it every day.
Max is a third-generation farmer who spent 15 years growing cherries, wine grapes, almonds, walnuts, and apples before leading the crop insurance division at a national agency for five years. In 2025 he founded Copello Crop Insurance Agency to bring that same hands-on understanding of risk directly to growers. He's licensed to sell and service crop insurance in California and Nevada.
